I'd like to take my 3 year old son out Saturday morning. My goal is to ride the Red Line train from Bethesda into town (he still thinks it's a real train). Two markets that I've never been to are Eastern Market on Cap Hill and the Farmer's Market at Dupont Circle.
Can someone tell me the best times of the AM to hit these two, and therefore, in what order to do this combo? And what are your favorite stands/goodies at each one? Especially cheese, vegetables, etc. as I'm not a sweets/baked goods kinda guy. And if we finish up around lunch time, what is a good alternative for a bite?
Thanks all you urbanites!
