Sarin Thai (Greenvale)

I ate at Sarin Thai recently and had a wonderful meal. It is located on Glen Cove Road, about 1/8 mile north of 25A. It is attractively decorated with lots of space between tables. The restaurant was family friendly but attracted all types.

As for the food, I found it to be well prepared, very reasonably priced and full of flavor. The Duck Penang (a special for $17) was half of a deboned duck, cooked to crispy perfection (with nary any fat), sliced and placed over a bed of sauteed Thai eggplant with a dark flavorful curry sauce that had a mild heat to it. It was the best dish I had there. The Pad Thai and Siam Noodles also made for a delicious meal.

Now, I've been to Sripraphai and in no manner do I mean to even compare this restaurant to that. However, Sarin's location is great for us North Shorers and the pleasant surroundings and food makes it worth a return trip.
