Sarastro in London

johnb | Aug 31, 2004 10:13 AM

I and my fiancee will be meeting a dear long-lost friend and his wife in London for dinner in a couple of weeks. He is the Londoner, and booked at Sarastro. I have checked the reviews and it seems it is a heavily tourist place and the food is dodgy at best (it will be on a Saturday so the opera singing is apparently not an issue). I don't want to make a ruckus, so plan to go along with the choice. My question is, can anyone suggest a meal ordering strategy to optimize the dinner. For example, I understand the appetizers may be better than the main courses.

Any help would be appreciated.
