Santana Row Farmers Market

Checked out the farmers market at Santana Row this morning. It's small, smaller than advertised, but I bet it gets big really quick . . . there were tons of pedestrian traffic, which is not the San Jose norm. Some of the vendors from the old Town and Country market have reappeared, including the slab-dried apricot lady. There were no flower sellers, but Bunches, the Los Gatos florist, has an exquisite shop in the middle of the promenade.

The Russian piroshki folks are there, with the added embellishment of delicious fresh blintzes, also the sour cream coffee cake vendor (I don't know how far up the peninsula these go, but South Bay market mavens whill know who I mean). There are several places to get coffee, with more coming soon, and lots of lovely places to sit and watch the crowds. I make this a great place to spend Sunday morning, catch some sunshine, have a light breakfast, read the paper, watch the crowds. I still haven't found the bakery, which got several ecstatic reviews further down this board . . . can someone point me in the right direction?
