Santa Rosa report

Arlene | Sep 14, 200501:43 AM

I went with a friend to Santa Rosa. It's a nice place to visit with many things to do there.

Our agenda:
Luther Burbank Garden-worth seeing. Tour ouf House and Greenhouse not worth the $4pp.

Charles M. Schultz Museum-an ok museum to see once. $8pp, discount for AAA member $7.

NY Pie Pizzeria-good. We tried a small w/ half Neopolitan (fresh garlic, basil and tomatoes) and half Manhattan (4 cheese pizza) w/ drizzle of olive oil and ordered crispy. They have a sign saying they take credit card though we paid cash. $17.26 with tax for small. 3 slices each the both of us finished it all no problem.

Benziger winery tour-$10pp. Just ok. 2 tasting of wine with tour and a Muscat I tried at the tasting room. I prefered the Muscat.

Visited Paradise Ridge Winery for the sculptures.

Screamin Mimi's in Sebastapol for homemade ice-cream. Be aware they charge by the ounce. I got a small cup of Mimi's Mud w/ some extra scoop, and friend got something else in a cone w/ extra scoop. Total $8.46!!

Didn't have time for Jose Matos cheese.
