Santa Monica Farmers' Market (WED) report--seasonal fruit

Thought this might be of interest to fellow fruit hounds:

Red and white currants from Pudwill's. $5/basket, red ones taste a bit like mild pomegranate seeds (photo below). They'll be there next week.

Circle C Ranch has sour cherries ($9/lb) and some Pakistani mulberries ($10/basket, I think).

Great Gaviota strawberries from McGrath's stand ($3.50/basket), tasty Chandlers from Trexino Farms (tremendous bargain at $1.25/basket).

Lilikoi/passion fruits from Coleman's stand ($4/lb).

No Blenheim apricot sitings yet.
