I was attracted to this new restaurant, hoping it would make Neapolitan style pizza of the quality of Pizza Metro, for three 'slight' reasons.
a) the name Santa Lucia is the same as the only Neapolitan style pizza I know of in Paris
b) it is on the same road (Hollywood Road) as Friends, which makes good pizzas in a wood-burning oven.
c) the menu, like the menu at Pizza Metro, lists pizzas as 25cm portions (it actually says 250cm)
The pizza did prove to have the same quality of base as at Pizza Metro, however it appeared that they didn't bring it to me as soon as it was taken out of the oven- the cheese had already begun to harden. Furthermore I think there was too much tomato sauce and too much cheese on it, nevertheless all these things are correctible and variable while the base is the hardest thing to get right in my experience.
The antipasti was nicely presented but not quite as nice as at Pizza Metro.
The pasta and risotto dishes were interesting-sounding.
