No one has asked, but thought I’d post some of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. To be fair, we focus on New Mexican cuisine; I’m sure there are many other fine restaurants and other cuisines here too.
The Shed - extremely busy, but for good reason. Excellent green chili, red chili is also outstanding, but HOT. Probably the best chili relleno we’ve had here on this trip. Margaritas are great.
The Pink Adobe - I think this is an underrated gem. Excellent steak and green chili, one the best pieces of salmon anywhere. Great wine list.
Tomasita’s - very good food and margaritas, just barely a cut below The Shed.
Also need to put in a plug for The Santa Fe School of Cooking. We’ve taken three classes there now on New Mex and Mex cuisine. Outstanding both demo classes and hands on classes. They also have steered us to The Pantry as having great New Mex cuisine, but we haven’t tried it yet.
