My boyfriend and I spent a whirlwind day tasting throughout the Santa Barbara/Los Olivos/Foxen Train wineries yesterday. Once I have a bit more time, (and if anyone is interested) I'll write up some of our findings.
In the meantime, just thought I'd see if you all have any favorites in the area?
I'll write more, but we really enjoyed a couple we were already familiar with: Koehler, Foxen, Rideau (great Mouvedre and Tempranillo, and in a neat restored 2-story Victorian), and a couple others.
Had a nice surprise at Blackjack -- Had never been and we really loved their reds -- Esp. a bottle of $60 merlot. (sheesh)
Anyhow, anyone else do any SB daytripping or weekending through the area? We'd love to know of great restaurants to hit during one of our excursions as well.
