Sangam -- the Indian restaurant inside the Comfort Inn located at N. Glebe Road and Washington Blvd. -- has much improved since hiring a new chef. We tried Sangam soon after it replaced the former Indian place that was there for a couple of years called Bukhara(sp), and we were not all that impressed. We tried it a couple of more times to see if it was a one time thing and it wasn't.
We didn't go back for a number of months and decided to try it again. After chatting with the owner he told us he had just hired a new chef. The new chef has made a big difference in the food quality. We have gone back a few more times to see if the quality could be maintained and it has. We can highly recommend the butter chicken, palak paneer, vegetable pakoras, samosas, daal, and the rice pudding.
Has anyone else been recently? If not, give it another try.
