I will spend 10 days in a rental house in SMA this winter. Looking for information on food--restaurants, street stalls, and anything else food related. I have a reservation for dinner at Aperi. ( I know that comida is the main meal of the day in Mexico but want to save daytimes for wandering around.) I also have a list of what I"ve read are good street-food sources and would love more input on this..
(El Pato for barbacoa and mixiote; Dos Santos for tacos de res; Andy's for all pastor; Camaroncito for coctel de camarones)
What am I missing? Will go to Tuesday main market and Ignacio Ramirez market. Where to find great whole grain bread? (Incidentally, are tortillas de maiz whole grain?)
What about supermarket where I can buy products to take home (chipotle in squeeze bottles; etc etc)?
Is there a supermarket within walking distance of the Jardin area?
There is NOTHING recent here about San Miguel..do hounds avoid the city? From what I am reading, there is good food around, but would love some input here....many thanks.
