I ate here this past Sunday and really enjoyed it. The restaurant is small and currently BYOB. The manager and servers were friendly and reasonably attentive but seemed like they were a little flustered at times. But most importantly, the food was great. We ordered the Calzone de Polla and the Panuozzo di Bartolomei. Both were delicious, the ricotta in the calzone especially, and the pizza dough is very well made. And the place is run by actual Italians, which is kind of a rarity in New York pizza these days. It may or may not make any difference but it's something to note.
The only negative when I was there was the lack of a double door at the entrance. If you sit near the front you get a blast of frigid air every time someone comes in and it will chill you and your food very quickly.
