San Francisco's best risotto

susancinsf | Nov 24, 200511:31 PM

Nooodles had asked me (in reply to a post on Home Cooking) to report on my night-before-Thanksgiving dinner, in which I mentioned I was looking forward to 'San Francisco's best risotto'...because she'd like to know where to find it...

Don't want to keep her in suspense: Ristorante Bacco in Noe Valley. As I think I've mentioned before, I've long since lost my objectivity on Bacco, which is my favorite neighborhood haunt and favorite Italian, but I don't think I'm the only one with a very high opinion of their risotto: I've yet to find better in the bay area.

Didn't end up getting it last night, though: it is a different risotto every evening, and yesterday it was roasted beet and goat cheese, which did not appeal. I had ravioli in a walnut sauce instead, and counted my blessings!

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving is and was happy!
