On returning from a week in the German wine regions, I was ready for some Chinese and Mexican food. For my first meal back in the City only chopstickable food would do. I indulged with a carb-heavy meal of clam and abalone jook with a deep-fried cruller at 10pm at Hing Lung on Broadway. The next day I planted myself in a chili heaven of a taqueria with a bowl of birria.
