Searching this site I found some discouraging messages from 2001 about the lack of decent bagels in San Francisco. I'm hoping this has changed.
After 10 years of experimenting in my kitchen in Mendocino, I think I now bake bagels as good as just about anything you can find in New York. (No false modesty here!) But I travel to San Francisco for a few days every month, and I have yet to find a decent bagel there. Can this be possible? Any advice will be appreciated.
