Having arrived back in UK after 4 nights in San FRan, I wanted to thank all those SF Chows who guided me through my few questions about eateries.
In my view, shabby chic Citizen Band on Folsom serves tasty burgers & snack foods in
a 'run down' type atmosphere.
Basil, the Thai restaurant on Folsom was a delight.
Zuni Cafe is possibly past it's best .. dishes were rather cold, staff rather surly and the menu limited.
Our visit to Napa Valley was highlighted by lunch at the lovely Brix Cafe in Yountville. Well cooked and lovely flavours.
House of Prime Rib .. delicious for exactly that .. Prime Rib.
Our last meal was lunch at Tadich Grill ... full marks. Petrale sole (which is actually a flounder) was yum. We ate in a cosy cubicle & enjoyed every minute. The only downside was that the tartare sauce was lacking in capers.
We'd last visited San Francisco 5 years ago, & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves yet again.
