San Diego update: El Agave and Greek Village

Well, I think the hotdogs at Petco park aren't half bad!! As for our recent trip: We decided to take the trolley into Old Town and dine at El Agave. Its not cheap, but I like their food. I know there has been some discussions on chowhound recently about service lapses there, but I must report that we had great, friendly service. Of course, we got our server talking about tequila, obviously a favorite subject, so that may have helped. Anyway, we enjoyed our dinner there very much. We shared an appetizer sampler...great quesadillas! Then we had soup: seafood for hubby, cilantro soup for me. Both good. Too full for desert! I do like the fact that they have sangrita at El Agave...the places in Reno don't even know what it is! Also, a quick suggestion: if you should find yourself in Seaport Village and you're starving, you might try the Greek Village (I think that's the name; its right on the boardwalk). Not the best gyros I've ever had, but certainly edible, and inexpensive. Probably one of the better options in the area.....
