How is it possible that a great restaurant like Tapenade, with a chef who worked 10 years with Paul Bocuse, etc., etc., is not worshipped by San Diego? Are we really in a cultural wasteland where no one tastes, no one cares? My word, the $15 lunch at Tapenade is the most amazing value of all time and NO ONE IS THERE! Better to go to La Valencia, Jack-in-the-Box? Perhaps we don't deserve better. Sure, go ahead, put up another mall.
