I am coming to SD from LA to check out some of the best restaurants -- but am most interested places where exciting young(ish) chefs chose SD because of all that's going on there foodwise, forgoing NYC and SF in order to become a big fish in small pond...and have achieved that. I think that story applies to the chef at Il Bizcocho, perhaps Arterra, the new chef de cuisine at A.R. Valentien, too - but I'm not sure. Who are the local celeb chefs in SD, making the biggest/latest splash, in your opinion? Many thanks!
