Lured by good stories of great pizza on this site, we tried San Biagio in Upland last night. Forget it. The place smells sour, service is slow and the NY style pizza is nothing to write home about. The crust was nicely thin and crisp, but the ingredients tasted uniformly stale - that's pepperoni, sausage, sauce and cheese. Even the fresh mushrooms tasted stale, but the fresh onion was the exception and the anchovies were fresh from the can. The quest for decent thin and crispy continues.
