Samba Brazilian Steakhouse Redondo Beach–report

My son and I went for an early dinner on Friday and enjoyed it. This is one of those places where they walk around with big hunks of meat slicing it directly onto your plate. Neither of us had eaten lunch and were pretty hungry – which was good because the meat just kept coming and coming. A low carbers paradise! They have a salad/hot food bar with various veggies, salads and starches. But I suggest you don’t over do it because the meat is coming!

We had about 11 or 12 of the 15 advertised items and all were tender except for one – the beef with garlic. Our favorites were the rib eye, skirt steak [really good flavor] and pork ribs. Oh yea, and the sirloin, pork tenderloin and the bacon wrapped turkey. And the salmon. The only thing I didn’t like was the sausage – too greasy and not much flavor.

We shared some flan. It was ok – especially the caramel sauce that had a little rum in it I think. The texture was kind of rough around the edges but the middle was smooth. I had 2 of those specialty drinks with rum, sugar syrup and lime juice – tasty.

$65 before tip for 2 including 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 Shirley Temples.

I’d go again.
