There's a new vendor at my local farmers' market, with half a dozen kinds of rice I had never heard of, and all very expensive. I recall that Sam Fujisaka commented that his favorite was from the north of Thailand or Burma or somewhere else in SEA, and with him being such a prolific poster, I can't locate the original comment.
I bought two packets, the Chinese Black (Forbidden) and Double Horses Thai rice, but haven't cooked them up yet. The vendor had some tea infused short grain rice, and some dwarf basmati, and I think a red rice.
What do you like, what does Sam like, and where can I get some other varieties?
