Salvadoran in Williamsburg

Based upon a recommendation from this board, I went to Bahia, a Salvadoran restaurant on Grand Street between Graham and Mahattan Avenues. I didn't love every dish, but my two favorite Salvadoran specialties -- pupusas and yucca con chicarrones -- were delicious. The pupusas were as good as the best I've had elsewhere in NYC (El Ranchito, Comal, Fama, Churros), and the yucca con chicarrones rocked. I never had them so succulent and flavorful.

I wasn't crazy about the tamales, but I've never really liked tamales too much. Maybe something about the texture, I dont' know. We also got a sweet empanada, which was nice.
