I ate at Salt last night and had a suprisingly good meal that was relatively inexpensive. Salt used to be Stella's but 9/11 apparently shut Stella's down. The chef, Melissa O'Donnell, reopened the spot as Salt and I had heard good things about it- I believe she used to be the chef at Le Zoo... The two of us had the crab/shrimp dumplings and pea & asparagus risotto appetizers followed by the chicken w/pureed cauliflower and brussel sprouts and roast cod w/shrimp.
We had 3 glasses of wine w/dinner-no dessert and the tab came to $73.00 including tax (not tip!). Was told by the waitress they were changing the menu tomorrow-10/2/03- so I will be back to check it out.
