....what a dumb name for a funky little joint with tasty food! On a recent visit, obviously homemade veggie samosas were loaded with spices; the crust was tender, flaky, and grease-free. They were served with a nice channa dal side dish. Keema paratha had lots of meat stuffing. Even the biryani was good, but it appeared to be a cooked pulao style rice combined after cooking with sauteed chicken; while nontraditional in preparation, it was tasty nevertheless. Plus, the attentive waiter was both more pleasant & efficient than many white-tablecloth joints in this town. It was acceptably clean but not sparkling; definitely clean enough for the prices! A good French Quarter alternative.
