Salsa a la Salsa Minneapolis review

We were trying to go to a place that Dara reviewed back in March, can't remember the name, but it's over on 3501 Nicllet Ave, and it was closed. Still in the mood for Mexican, we decided to go to Salsa a la Salsa, on about 18th and Nicollet. The food was quite good, a solid B, but the service had some impressive problems. When we had waited about 10 minutes after getting our menus, we called someone over and asked to order, and he told us our waiter was on the phone. We asked that they get him off the phone. Once we ordered though, things improved. I got the pork tamales with Diablo sauce. The tamales were very good, not up to Burrito Mercado, but still good. The diablo sauce, which they warned me about, was a perfect heat with a nice sweetness. Paul got the pork loin, which he chose for the sauce, which was also a nice mix of hot and sweet. Pork was a little dry, but still good food. Overall, a good experience and we could go back. The meal was under $20 w/o booze.
As for the service, I am told that they have a history of bad service, anyone else have a bad experience with that?
