Salamander vs Charbroiler (residential)

Matt_in_the_OC | Jan 4, 2012 08:48 PM

I am looking to add a grill to my residential kitchen. I am looking to get similar results to an outdoor gas grill when cooking steaks, chicken, pork, and fish. So far, I have found 2 residential products from “Blue-Star” that look promising.

The first is a “Salamander Broiler: this large burner produces 1850º F of intense searing heat that can be adjusted for gentler broiling of more delicate foods.”

The second is a “Indoor Charbroiler: 2 powerful 15,000 BTU burners.”

It seems like the charbroiler is the way to go, but the salamander seems like a nicer package from a mounting and cleaning perspective.

Does anyone have any experience with similar products? Does anyone have better options for indoor grilling?

Thank you!!
