I work near a great salad bar in LA called Mrs. Winstons. They have everything you could think of to put in a salad, and then some. The problem is, I always put in a little of this and a little of that, and before you know it, I have confusion in a plastic container.
The last time I went, my salad, among other things, had beets, blue cheese, smoked turkey salad, a tofu satay scramble of some sort, and a sesame sweet and sour dressing. Didn't work.
The problem is I never go in thinking, I'd like a chinese chicken today, or a cobb, or a greek - all of which I could probably pull off there. I just get a little of whatever looks good and have a mess at the end. So I'd like to come up with some ideas to try and organize my thoughts beforehand.
What are some of your favorite concoctions at the salad bar that actually do make sense when you sit down to eat them? Thanks!
