Still outstanding on every level (except perhaps ambience).
We left a couple of weeks ago because there were no more seats. We literally popped our head in and looked around then left...And they remembered us. The lady on the floor was very gracious, as was Saito.
And the food was right on.
Yellowtail sashimi with paper thin lemon slices
Huge scallop sushi that he shucked and halved. Sweet and delicate.
Snapper sushi with just barely a sweet/salt bite
Large soft shell crab roll with sprouts and the red tiny caviar I love
Albacore sushi with a little green onion mixture on top
Squid sushi that was firm and fresh (my least favorite, but good anyway)
Spanish mackeral sushi prepared in the traditional way
2 orders of each of the above except one order each of the squid and Spanish mackeral came to $80 before tip.
We are so lucky to have a place like this in Silverlake. No attitude, just good food.
