Saigon banh mi- make your own?

charliebaltimore | Aug 3, 2005 10:43 AM

In their new location on Mott St, the refrig contains 13oz pre-wrapped packages of Vietnamese pate and "sausage" made by a Vietnamese company out of Philly on sale for $3.00. The counter girl confirmed that these were the same meats used in their banh mi. The wait for a sandwich -usually at least 20-30 minutes are killing me- anyone give these meats a try for a homemade banh mi?
