Saigon Bahn Mi on Forsyth

Just had to thank the many hounds who've recommended this place. I dragged myself out of the house Saturday morning, worried by warnings that they run out before noon, and was lucky enough to get my hands on one. I have seen the light... This was a REALLY good sandwich. No mayonnaise, no oddly textured mystery meats, and just the right balance of ingredients and of spiciness. After eating one half while it was still pretty warm, and one once it had cooled off already, I'm convinced the key is to eat it as soon as possible(although it's still pretty good cool). Anybody have any recommendations for parks in the area? ;-)

A post bahn mi stroll over the Brooklyn Bridge to Jacques Torres for the best chocolate croissant I've ever had (couldn't buy Mom chocolates without getting something for myself) made this a great chow day for me. Mom was kind enough to share a few chocolates later on as well! All were delicious, but the Earl Grey really stands out in my memory.
