Sahara Cafe for St. Pete Mid. Eastern

I was recently alerted to the demise of Tajeen by another chowhounder. And although it is dreadful to lose a major food contender, take hope, hounds! Another restaurant nearby offers wonderful middle Eastern standbys from a limited menu -- the Sahara Cafe at 624 First Avenue South. I went there with a friend from the St. Pete Times, as the modest restaurant with a tiny storefront is one of only a few in this barren area of downtown St. Pete infested with parking lot sprawl, which makes the Sahara literally an oasis.

It's been awhile since I was there but when I went I thought their food was some of the best middle Eastern that I'd had locally. Anybody else try it?
