Sahadi's vs.....

Rita | Jan 7, 2006 05:09 PM

Although I go to Sahadi's often for things like pasta, cheese, olive oil etc., for prepared middle eastern food (imo)you can not beat Oriental Pastry Shop which is across the street at 170 Atlantic Ave. We have gotten so many delicious prepared foods there--for instance home made spinach pies, fava bean salad, olives, labni, delicious homemade stuffed grape leaves in a tangy tomato garlic sauce, humous and a smokey babaganous. They often have specials and the people who work there are pretty friendly. I really recommend it! I am mentioning it because tonight I was in Sahadi's and as usual it was incredibly crowded. I went across the street to Oriental Pastry Shop and it was dead. They also sell nuts, herbs and spices. So give it a try!
