Is It Safe to Eat at Seven Seas?

Despite living in a nearby neighborhood, I have never been to this well-known, well-respected Chinese Seafood restaurant in Rockville.

So I was making plans to try it out Saturday night. First, though, I learned from some reading that it's very difficult to pry the Chinese Menu out of the hostess's hands. Without it, I understand, you're subjected to mediocre chop suey. And now I've learned that the place is so filthy as to be a health hazard. Some have even complained of finding things in their food! I find this hard to believe, as they are even named in Washingtonian's 100 Best Cheap Eats (I know, I know, that is not necessarily an automatic endorsement.)

Have any other 'hounds been in the last 6 months? Should we go?
