I used to looooove de cero, in Haymarket. They had fresh tacos, really hot salsa including one that was just *fresh* (i.e.. crunchy) house pickled jalapenos, and good margaritas. And it wasn't a huge place like zocalo, which always made me feel too overwhelmed. I went to de cero almost the entire time it was open - first when I was living in Chicago and then every time I visited since then. I would take friends there. Now it's closed! And I have a trip to Chicago coming up! Is there another place that's similar? Places that aren't Mexican but have a similar vibe would be good too.
