For a long time I've wanted to try this restaurant. It's fairly close to me (I'm in Thousand Oaks) but the price tag was a bit of a deterrent.
Well, I finally made it last weekend. I took the parents who were visiting from out of town. I splurged on the tasting menu with wine, and my parents had the buffalo and elk. I tried a bite of everything. :)
We had a wonderful meal. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was great.
The best entree in my opinion was the elk. Never had better. It is farm raised so not as gamey as some.
However, all were pleased with their entrees. I had Kobe beef with my tasting menu. Granted, the elk was better but the Kobe beef was good.
My favorite part of the tasting menu was the scallops.
There are 4 rooms that I could see covering 3 levels. We were on the smaller room of the 2nd level.
