Sacrificial goat

Has anyone here ever cooked a whole goat underground? If so, do you have any tips or advice? Do you line the hole with rocks or mud, do you use a grate over the coals, do you wrap in maguey or banana leaves or a flour sack, how long should you let the barbacoa cook before digging it out? I guess what I'm wondering is how, exactly, do you do it?
