sacramento non-power lunch, near capitol

Though I never been to Sacramento, I will be starting some work there and finding myself near the Capitol (8th and K, to be precise) at lunchtime. I'd love recommendations for the best nearby lunch spots that are quick (or at least quick-ish) and cheap (or at least cheap-ish). I'm imagining there's a lot of cheap, tasty chow for all the people, like me, working in or for state government who aren't having power lunches. Take-out or sit-down is fine; any cuisine is fine; just good food. I'd especially love to find spicy Thai noodles, or a broccoli-rabe-and-sausage sandwich, or Vietnamese banh mi, or a BLT with really good bacon, or anything with chorizo, just to get the conversation started.

Other posts on downtown Sacramento seem to focus on higher-ambience places than I have in mind. I was hopeful after reading the posts about Cafe Bernardo, but at 28th Street it's probably too far for a midday walk from 8th and K.

Thanks very much!
