Went to Sabor Brasil on Canal St in Nashua for the first time today and have to share the experience with other Chowhounds. It's a hole in the wall near BAE, in the area around Margarita's. My co-workers had been there before and raved about it, so I was intrigued.
It's a small place with about 20 tables, and only one other person was there when we got there. You seat yourself and walk up to the buffet, fill your plate, and at the end, you select your meat, which is presented on skewers and served onto your plate. The meats to choose from included beef, garlic beef, chicken, pork ribs, chicken with bacon, sausage, chicken with hearts, and a few others I can't recall.
The buffet had about 20 items, including salad, fruit, vegetables, beans, black beans, chicken wings in sauce, roasted pork, white rice, yellow rice, and a lot of other things i obviously can't remember, but a nice selection. You then have your plate weighed before sitting.
The food was fantastic. Meat was tender, sides were flavorful, salad was fresh. Service was excellent, though it was a buffet. The same friendly, sweet young lady who served us the meat and weighed the plates took our drink orders, then delivered them to the table. (I got a bottle of water--she gave me a glass of ice with a straw, which I hadn't asked for).
I have no prior experience with Brazilian food, but my co-workers said that this was better than Gauchos in Manchester, which they said cost $33 a person. My total today, with drink and tax, was $6.42. Granted, I went a little light on the meat, since I just wanted to sample a few things, and next time I'll be getting more, but still, you can't beat that price. I hope others check this place out and that it stays in business.
