I am looking for anyone that makes Sabich in Boston. For those who dont know, Sabich is a popular street food in Israel. It was a typical dish prepared by Iraqi jews, usually eaten at breakfast. It has since become somewhat popular next to falafel.
A Sabich is fried eggplant, hummus, steamed potatoes, browned hard boiled egg, salad, and Amba(mango pickle) all wrapped into a pita.
This is the name given to it in Israel as the traditional dish in Iraq does not have a formal name or so the story goes. It may be referred to as Bab Jan, but this simply means eggplant.
Anyway, I have yet to see it in Boston. Any leads would be most appreciated!
