My Mom saw an article about bread in the Food & Drink section of Toronto Life from last March and asked me to pick up a loaf of Rye with caraway from Splendido. She doesn't dine out and didn't realize it's a restaurant. Apparently Baker Nis 'ku Closs delivers these "dense, crusty ryes" to Splendido each morning so they can be baked in their steam-injected oven. But, I am sure this is for their own consumption for diners in their restaurant not to also sell to walk-ins by the loaf.
Does anyone know where I can get this bread elsewhere in the city or something very similar?
