After over a year of their opening I finally made it to RLB...it was so disappointing. My husband and I each had wraps - he had the tuna, I had a spicy chicken wrap. My husband spent the meal picking apart his wrap to find what he considered edible (the olives were way too briny, and some of the other ingredients just kind of ruined the tuna). I found my chicken to be that over marinated, mushy kind of white meat, and just found that it overall had too many things in it to be able to taste any one thing.
The whole experience was just strange, no one was really in the place, yet there weren't tables available. It was also way too quiet and it made it hard to have a conversation - you knew whatever you said would be overheard.
Fast forward a bit since my experience 2 weeks ago -------- it seems that the original owner, Josh Enright may not be involved in the Bistro any longer. He was (or now has) opening the new Cafe in Bedford at the Bedford Farms business center. According to the Hippo article, he is partnering up with the owner of the Jewell and the Beanstalk from Manchester. I looked up the Cafe online, and it is no longer called "The Rustic Leaf Cafe"; it is the "Seed to Stalk" Cafe. Perhaps due to ties to the RLB being cut? In any case, that would really explain my less than stellar experience in Milford. Josh Enright's cuisine still eludes me, I guess I will have to head to Bedford to see what I've been missing!
