Tha author was on the radio today (NPR's The Takeaway). All sorts of "who'da thunk?" tidbits of information. For example, stainless steel got its name because it "stains less" than ordinary steel. But there are 400 varieties of stainless steel, it does corrode (we knew that), some more than others. Aluminum cans are made from plastic with a thin metal veneer, and 1 in 7 energy drinks that are created cannot be put into cans because they are too corrosive.
