Where in Manhattan (below 96th Street, if possible) can I get really good Russian coffee cake? This is for a friend who is a maven. Fifty years ago we got it in a bakery next to Schweller's deli on Jerome Avenue just north of Mosholu Parkway. Hardly any Russian coffee cake since then has been equal to that. Neither store is there today.
