The post today on the Russian coffee cake reminded me i've been meaning to try Russia House since its right next to Veritas, one of our fave wine bars. The menu sounds good in the door but has anyone been recently? Is the food good? Is it 'nice' inside?
Also wanting to revisit the Oval Room and try Occidental for the first time. I know these have all been around a while and just would like some recent feedback.
Are there any other 'oldies but goodies' that anyone would recommend (1789 is a reg fave so don't need to include that)? We all get so caught up in the new hot places (Beck, Central, Proof) that we tend to forget the old glories!
