This is really a request for brunch in the San Diego Area for Thanksgiving. But first I need to be AGAST!!!!!
Looking into the Turkey Trot at Dana Point beach, I had no clue that it is a RACE on Thanksgiving morning. What is WRONG with you people?
Thanksgiving ... the ultimate couch potato day ... you spend the morning fixing dinner, watching the Macys parade or bowl games then you eat, fight with the family and sleep. YOU DONT PUT ON SNEAKERS AND RUN.
I was thinking the turkey trot involved real turkeys (well maybe they do). I thought it would be charming to see a bunch of gobblers flopping around and then maybe go for brunch in the area, but a RACE with people!!!! What do you do afterward, fill up the punch bowl with slim fast?
Well, Im sure Ive created a hostile environment for a brunch request. But where is a nice place in the San Diego Area for Thanksgiving dinner or brunch?
I was thinking the Ritz Carleton in Dana Point, but I dont think I want to be around people who spend the morning participating in sports rather than watching them on tv like the Pilgrims intended.
It is nice that the beneficiary of the race if the St. Vincent De Paul Food Bank, but can't you just be like everyone else and pick up an extra turkey at Safeway, uh Vons, and drop it off with some cash at the Food Bank? Does it have to involve EXERCISE on Thanksgiving?
