I flopped a steak down on my cast iron skillet and when I went to turn it over only then did I realize that the absorbent plasticky pad had adhered to the steak when I slid it off the styrofoam tray. Oh No! I immediately took it off the heat and began scrubbing, first with soap and water then with "Goo Gone" (which did nothing but strip off the seasoning). Oh No! What on earth will get this off? I don't want to bake the plastic on to the pan and onto the food, I want to get it totally off. Oh No! I don't have any of those metallic scrubbie things - what are they called?? I guess I'll have to pick one up and try it out.
