Help! Did I ruin my lamb?

I went to marinate my butterflies lamb leg this morning before Easter with my moms recipe, which states overnight but I wanted to get it done early. The marinate is olive oil/lemon based with a bunch of herbs. Upon reading about how marinating for too long can make your lamb mushy, after I had put it in the marinade for about 10 minutes I panicked and pulled it out and rinsed off the marinade. Planning on reapplying marinade in the morning around 8 hours before I cook it. Desperately hoping I did not ruin my lamb!
