Rub, BLT Fish, Shake Shack Reports- seeking curry hill lunch advice

I have recently been to RUB a few times and can flat out say that it is the best bbq NYC has ever experienced.

The Ribs (st louis- not baby back) are about as perfect as you can get- yes the sauce is sub-par but it is really not necessary at all. The mild dry rub is great, they are smoked to perfection....I am going to the Salt Lick next month and am eager to compare since I haven't been there in almost 10 years. The beans and fried onions are amazing at RUB as well- and I have a soft spot (and belly) for the oreos. Service is fine. I work around the corner from Blue Smoke and can't wait to make the walk to across town to RUB.

I have tried the pulled pork- very unerwhelmed, I guess I prefer NC pulled pork with a much brighter tang. I thought the burnt ends are good- but not close to all the raves I had heard. Is there a consensus on which coleslaw is the best? Are the sausages worth a try?

Had a seafood platter downstairs at BLT Fish last week and I have to say I was quite impressed. They oysters were very fresh and plentiful, the shrimp were big, the welks tasty, and the perriwinkles fun. Also some ceviche and scallops. I am not a big proponent of "grand platters of shellfish" but this is one I would return for. Bartender makes some great drinks and was very gracious and accomodating. This place has been battered on the board but maybe the bar and the raw selections are the way to go.

Wanted to eat upstairs but it was all packed- will make it there soon and report back.

I discovered the 'Shroom Burger at Shake Shack and am quite dazzled by it. The shack burger and shroom burger are two of the best in the city. I am too far from Le Parker Meridien- but whenever I can grab an early (~1145) lunch I head to the shack. Not so impressed by the hotdogs by the way.....

Ok, so my lunch rotation for every 10 days

RUB (too far of a walk to go once a week)
Shake Shack x 2
Roomali
Wild Greens for Salad or Wraps x 4
Mozzarelli's Pizza

What should I add to the mix? Any faves upstairs at Kalustyians? Is it worth the walk to 'wichcraft? (I can't find their menu online.) I do not like Rice.

Thanks folks,

Chico
