Low RPM Hand Mixer, ISO

zackly | Nov 25, 202107:30 AM     4

I have a three speed Cuisinart hand mixer, probably 7-8 years old. I use it rarely but it is my preferred tool for mashed potatoes. The problem is the lowest speed is not low enough to prevent an explosion of potatoes at startup. Maybe there is a technique that is not obvious to me? I've read online that mixers have low speeds as low as 200 RPM's. The review sites I've perused don't list RPMs. Can anyone recommend a low RPM unit or a database with this information? Thanks!
